Black Label Society, Jared James Nichols, Rise The Phoenix Soul Kitchen Music Hall; Mobile, Alabama Wednesday, May 18th, 2022 Photography by Chris Montgomery Written by Annie Schlottman A large crowd came out to Soul Kitchen Music Hall in Mobile, Alabama, Wednesday, May 18th, 2022, to enjoy a great night of live music by Black Label Society, Jared James Nichols, and Rise The Phoenix.  ROCK LAB TV Magazine photographer Chris Montgomery was there soaking in the action, and his photo galleries are below. I got some insight from both Montgomery and Rise The Phoenix front man Jessee Sawyer about Soul Kitchen.  Montgomery describes it as a medium-sized venue that allows for an up-close and personal experience.  Sawyer says the venue holds a little over 1,000 people, has three bars and a VIP riser section, a huge stage, and green rooms backstage.  It's a former Woolworth's five-and-dime store. Rise The Phoenix is a hard rock band based out of Mobile. Band member...

Music Rocks record label, and not only is this song a banger, but it is also a sharp commentary on the state of the world we live in, especially since the COVID-19 pandemic began. This song has already earned a lot of attention in just a few weeks and is currently in the Top 40 of the Foundations Rock Chart. Awake At Last includes Vincent Torres (vocals), Eric Blackway (lead guitar), Imran Xhelili (guitar), Drew Hansen (bass), and Jeff Dorber (drums). Take The Name New Single "Low" Appeals To A Variety Of Listeners

Image
Review of "Low" by Take The Name Written by Annie Schlottman May 6, 2022 Hard rock band Take The Name, from my hometown of Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, dropped a new banger called " Low " April 29th, 2022, and this is a song that had me hooked right away. This track will appeal to varied listeners on multiple levels due to the heavy-hitting music and the relatable theme, and it will be added to many playlists. Take the Name includes Tyler Kern (vocals); Keith Gensure (drums); Nick Metz (bass); and Josh Mercado (guitar). Kern is the only original member of the band, which had a different name at first. "Take The Name" was a somewhat sarcastic, tongue-in-cheek choice after the band was informed that its previous name was too similar to another band's. One of the best things about Take The Name is that this band is a combination of various genres of hard rock and metal. There are elements of EMO, punk, metalcore, and the combination of hardcore and EMO, EM...

Review of "Beautiful Disaster" by Breathing Theory WakeUp! Music Rocks Written by Annie Schlottman May 2, 2022 When I first heard the new single "Beautiful Disaster" by Florida-based hard rock band Breathing Theory, it touched my heart and soul. From the opening lines which feature just the emotional singing of front man Cory Britt, I knew that this was a tune I would need to listen to over and over again. Sure enough, the song goes on and gets more intense, and draws you into the haunting story. Breathing Theory released "Beautiful Disaster" April 21st, 2022, via Pepper Gomez's WakeUp! Music Rocks label, and already this song has been added to various radio station playlists and appears to be headed for the charts. In addition to Britt, the other band members include: Collin Morrison (guitar, backing vocals); Kegan King (drums); Rob Mahoney (guitar); and Preston Daniel (bass). According to Britt, the initial idea for "Beautiful Disaster"...

Review of "Thank You" by Saturate Written by Annie Schlottman May 2, 2022 Texas-based rock band Saturate has a message of appreciation for the people who support the band in its newest single, " Thank You ".  This song includes melodic and heavy rock elements that combine perfectly to hook you into listening to this song on repeat. Saturate includes Jimmy Miller (vocals), Mike Mexas (guitar), Curtis James (guitar), Hector Porras (bass), and Angel Perez (drums).  The band was formed in 2005 by Jimmy, Mike, and Hector.  Curtis became a permanent part of the Saturate family when he joined around 2013. The newest member is Angel, and the band is looking forward to playing with him behind the kit. Songwriting for the band is a group effort.  Everyone writes their own parts, with group artistic input.  Jimmy Miller writes the lyrics and vocals.  He told me "Thank You" was a song that Mike Mexas had worked on, and the final version came to fruitio...
